Mr Moosa is a Paediatric ophthalmologist trained in ophthalmology in United Kingdom at Brighton, Cheltenham and London where he sub-specialised in advanced cataract surgery and squints. This was followed by fellowship training in children’s eye disorders at the Great Ormond Hospital in London under Mr Ken Nischal.

Mr Moosa is actively involved in education and training and is an examiner for the Fellowship Examinations for Royal College of Ophthalmologists London. He trains doctors at all levels, including experienced doctors who are training to become eye specialists.

Mr Moosa manages eye conditions such as simple and complex cataracts (phacoemulsification), post-cataract capsule problems (YAG Laser), double vision, squints, allergic eye disease, dry eye issues and lumps and bumps in the eyelids.
Mr Moosa offers small incision cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants to reduce the need for glasses or contact lenses. As well as routine cataract surgery, Mr Moosa manages complex cataracts, and complications of cataract surgery. He also offers second opinions on cataract and squint surgery management options.
With his clinical experience at a busy York and Harrogate Hospital Eye Unit. Mr Moosa deals with acute and urgent presentations of a range of eye conditions and also looks after the eyes of very premature babies on the Harrogate District Hospital.
