Dr Blanche Lim is currently a Consultant with the Orbit, Oculofacial and Lacrimal service for National University Hospital and Alexandra Hospital. She is a member of multiple oculoplastics societies, including the Singapore Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery( SSOPRS), Asia-Pacific Ophthalmic Trauma society(APOTS), AO CMF, and Asia-Pacific Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery (APSOPRS) and Young APSOPRS (YAPSOPRS). She is keenly interested in Education and is the Undergraduate lead for education in NUH for LKC for Ophthalmology, the Assistant Programme Director for the Singapore Chief Residency Programme, is the Co-Programme Lead for Optometry Education for InVision in NUS, and teaches undergraduates across NUS Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy and Nursing as well. She currently also serves as Clinical Director of the Ophthalmology unit in Alexandra Hospital. As she is also believes that Eye care should continue to also be increasingly practised in the community, she co-leads the Community Eye Services in NUH, works with like-minded members on the Clinical Optometry Practice Advisory Panel for implementation and also sits as a member on the Board of Directors to work with the Singapore Women`s Association for the Singapore Visioncare Programme (SVP), and is also a member of the Low Vision team in NUH, to advocate for the vulnerable.
