Amelia Lim

I am a Consultant Ophthalmology in the field of Medical Retina and Uveitis. I did my fellowship training in Malaysia in 2017-2020. During my fellowship training, I was posted to high volume Medical Retina centre in Klang Valley. I had opportunity to manage complicated Medical Retinal cases and the various infectious and non infectious uveitic cases. In 2019, I joined Prof Noemi Lois as a Clinical Fellow in Medical Retina & Uveitis at the Belfast Health and Social Trust (BHST). The fellowship training ended in 31st January 2020. My training in Uk, made me a more well rounded person in my subspecialty. In 2022, I obtained a short course of Retina and Uveitis attachment with Prof Huang Yih Shiou at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for 3 months (1st August 2022-31st October 2022). During this period, I learnt to manage non-infectious uveitis using Biologic therapy. Besides that, I was also given an opportunity to perform basic vitreoretinal surgeries.Currently, I am a full time resident at Gleneagles Hospital Penang.
