SURENDRAN THANDALAM SUNDARARAJAN

Dr. T. S. Surendran is a highly qualified and experienced ophthalmologist with an impressive list of achievements. He has forty years of experience in Pediatric Ophthalmology, specializing in pediatric botox, contact lens, and low vision aids, and has trained numerous postgraduate students in ophthalmology and optometry. Currently serving as the Chairman and Director of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Trustee and Board Member of Sankara Nethralaya Chennai and Sankara Deva Nethralaya Guwahati Assam, and Chairman of the Institutional Committee for Stem Cell Research, Govt. Stanley Hospital Chennai, and Board Member of the Chennai Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Dr. Surendran has achieved numerous accolades throughout his career. Rangachari Gold Medal from the All India Ophthalmic Society, the Dr. Joseph Gnandikam Award from TNOA, the Best Doctor Award from MGR Medical University Chennai, and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Strabismological Society of India, among many others. Dr. Surendran is also a member of AAPCOS and AIOS, having organized two major conferences in strabismus in 1996 and 2007. Additionally, he has conducted three squint camps at Jalna and has seen more than 200,000 patients and operated on more than 40,000 surgeries.
