Dr Lee Mun Wai graduated from the University of Manchester and started his ophthalmic training in United Kingdom. He went on to Advanced Specialist Training at the Singapore National Eye Centre and subsequently completed a Vitreoretinal Fellowship at the Lions Eye Institute, Western Australia.
He is currently the Medical Director at LEC Eye Centre in Ipoh, Malaysia and is also the President of the Malaysian Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He has published numerous papers in peer reviewed journals as well as contributed book chapters to allied health textbooks and has also authored an eye care book for the general public. He is currently a Reviewer for the American Journal of Ophthalmology, Eye, Asia Pacific Journal of Ophthalmology and Malaysian Journal of Ophthalmology.
Dr Lee has been an active educator in the Asia Pacific region and is currently a member of the Board of Officers of the Asia Pacific Association of Cataract & Refractive Surgeons. He has also been a recipient of Achievement Awards from the Asia Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology as well as the Malaysian Society of Ophthalmology.
