Dr.B.Venkateshwar Rao, MD (AIIMS) Pediatric Ophthalmology Fellow Indiana University Indianapolis, USA, Former Assosciate Prof LV Prasad Eye Institute Director, Shreya Eye Care Center, Hyderabad B.Venkateshwar Rao had done his ophthalmology residency training at R.P.center, All India Institute Of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He did his fellowship in strabismus and Neuro-Ophthalmology under Prof. Prem Prakash from R.P. Center, AIIMS New Delhi. He was selected as Senior Research Assosciate for CSIR for one year. He completed the prestigious AAPOS fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology & Strabismus under the tutelage of world renowned Prof Eugene Helveston from Indiana University Medical Center Indianapolis, USA. He headed the Dept of Pediatric Ophthalmology, Strabismus and Neuro-Ophthalmology at LV Prasad Eye Institute from Jan 1998 to Feb 2006. Presently he is the Director of Shreya Eye Care Center at Hyderabad. He is a specialist in Pediatric Strabismus, Adult Strabismus and Neuro-Ophthalmology. In addition to his fellowship training, he also visited various Hospitals in USA. He is a present and past member of several prestigious international organizations including American Academy Of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Association Of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus (AAPOS), International Strabismology Association (ISA), Telangana State Ophthalmic Society (TOS), All India Ophthalmological Society (AIOS), and Strabismus & Pediatric Ophthalmological society of India (SPOSI) He has lectured in various Universities here in India and in USA covering several topics of Strabismus, Amblyopia, Congenital Cataract and Neuro-Ophthalmology. He has published articles in peer reviewed international journals and presented at various international meetings such as American Academy Of Ophthalmology (AAO), American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology (AAPOS), European Strabismology Association (ESA), & Indonesian Ophthalmology society (IOA). With all his clinical and academic experience, Dr.B.Venkateshwar Rao has ventured into his next stage by starting Shreya Eye Care Center in March 2006 with a mission of providing cost effective treatment in the field of Strabismus, Pediatric eye problems and Neuro- Ophthalmology. Presently he is the Director of Shreya Eye Care Center, Hyderabad.
