Dr. Subhabrata Chakrabarti is the Associate Director of Research at the L V Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India. His works on functional genomics of primary congenital glaucoma and genetic epidemiology have an overarching component of translation from bench to bedside. He has published widely, received several honours and awards and is well-funded. He is a ‘Fellow’ of ARVO, Affiliates of all Science Academies of India and TWAS and serves on multiple leadership roles at ARVO, ISER and WGA. Currently, he is the Associate Editor of IOVS and an expert on the ClinGen panel that accurately curates the ClinVar database.
