I , Dr.Sandra Chandramouli , am Consultant in the Department of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus , Aravind Eye Hospital , Coimbatore , India for the past 18 years . My special areas of interest include complex strabismus , NSBVD , myopia , amblyopia and CVI.
I have done short term observer-ships in the United States in 2013 in Children’s Hospital , Boston ; Wilmer Eye Institute and the Jules Stein Eye Institute .
I have trained around 50 fellows and many postgraduate students . I have presented actively in conferences including AAPOS , APAO , ASCRS , WOC ,ESCRS, WCPOS ,ISA and AAO.
I have won the national award – The Prem Prakash Award – for best paper in strabismus session in AIOC 2015 and the best paper award in paediatric ophthalmology session in TNOA state conference 2023.
