Professor Alki Liasis PhD, is a consultant clinical scientist in visual electrophysiology. He started his career at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London. His background is in medical biophysics, neurophysiology as well as visual electrophysiology. He has undertaken an extensive program of research through his career investigating normal visual function and consequences of neurological pathology on the visual pathways in childhood. He has written a significant number of publications that have a direct impact on the management of these children. He worked at the Tony Kriss visual electrophysiology unit at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children London for 2 decades before moving to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center as Director of the Electrophysiology service. He has recently returned from the United States and works between the Institute of Child Health, London and The Pantheo eye Clinic in Limassol that is affiliated with the University of Nicosia Cyprus.
